The weather in Scandinavia is known to be kind of bad during fall season. How do you dress to stay warm and still look chic?
– Well, I am a big fan of layer dressing which is perfect when living in cold Scandinavia. It all comes down to feeling comfortable in your outfit, regardless if that means adding another layer in a visual way with a chunky knit or doing it more discretely with a thin woollen top. This season the turtleneck is a must have in my wardrobe; I can not get too many of those! I like to use them under shirts, knits or dresses…I prefer mixing them with items in another material, for example a woollen turtleneck under a leather dress, it enhances the layer-effect.
You really have a lot of work going on, where do you find your inspiration?
– I get inspired from other blogs, magazines, street style and catwalk pictures. I use a lot of time surfing on the internet, it is the ultimate way to keep your self a jour on the latest news, interviews and pictures.
Is there something you would never wear?
– I prefer to never say never but I am not a ballerina shoe kind of girl. I like wearing heels; it gives me a feeling of power!
My wish list for fall:
1. An oversized camel coat with a rope waistband. It has a classic menswear feeling to it, which I like. 2. A pair of pointy thigh high boots in suede. They will work both over my big jeans collection, but also under knee long skirts styled with a chunky knit, just to work with the layering in a new way. 3. A cropped woollen turtleneck. I will wear it together with a pair of high waist pants and a leatherjacket or under a boyfriend knit and a skater skirt.
